    The MSP-EXP430F5529 is a MSP430F5529 USB experimenter"s board. The experimenter board showcases the abilities of the latest family of MSP430s and is perfect for learning and developing USB based applications using the MSP430. The features include a 102x64 dot matrix LCD, microSD memory card interface, 3-axis accelerometer, five capacitive touch pads, RF EVM expansion headers, nine LEDs, an analog thumb wheel, easy access to spare F5529 pins, integrated Spy Bi Wire flash emulation module, and standard full JTAG pin access. The kit is pre programmed with an out of box demo to immediately demonstrate the capabilities of the MSP430 and experimenter board. The experimenter board helps designers quickly learn and develop using the new F55xx MCUs, which provide the industry"s lowest active power consumption, integrated USB and more memory and leading integration. The MSP430F5529 device on the experimenter board can be powered and debugged via the integrated ezFET or via flash emulation tool.

    The MSP-EXP430F5529LP is an USB LaunchPad evaluation kit for the MSP430F5529 USB microcontroller. It"s an easy way to start developing on the MSP430, with an onboard emulation for programming and debugging, as well as buttons and LEDs for simple user interface. The MSP430F5529 is a 16bit microcontroller with 128KB flash, 8KB RAM, up to 25MHz CPU speed, integrated USB 2.0 PHY, 12bit analogue to digital converter (ADC), timers, serial communication (UART, I2C, SPI) and more. The MSP430 ultra low power microcontrollers consists of several devices featuring different sets of peripherals targeted for various applications. The MSP-EXP430F5529LP LaunchPad target device can be used with a power source other than USB. However, this should be done carefully to ensure proper system behaviour. External power can be supplied by many sources, most commonly a direct power supply or through a battery BoosterPack.
