The MAX358CPE+ is an 8-channel single ended fault-protected analogue multiplexer in 16 pin DIP package. This fault-protected multiplexer use a series NPN structure (Field effect transistor) that protects the device from overvoltage up to ±35V beyond the supply rail. This device not only protects from overvoltage but also limits the fault currents to nanoamp leakage values rather than milli amperes. This protects multiplexer as well as sensors and other sensitive signal sources which are driven by multiplexer. All digital inputs have 0.8V and 2.4V logic thresholds ensuring both TTL and CMOS logic compatibility without pull-up resistors. Break-before-make operation is guaranteed and power consumption is less than 2mW. Typical applications include data acquisition systems, ATE equipment, signal routing and redundant/backup systems.
The MAX303CPE+ is a precision, dual, high speed SPDT analogue switch in 16 pin DIP package. This device offers low leakage current of less than 250pA at 25°C and less than 6nA at 85°C. It also provides fast switching (turn-on time less than 150ns and turn-off time less than 100ns). The MAX303 is fabricated with Maxim"s new improved silicon gate process for high system accuracy. Design improvements provide extremely low charge injection (15pC) and low power consumption of 35µW. A 44V maximum breakdown voltage allows rail to rail analogue signal capability. This monolithic switch operates with a single positive supply (+10V to +30V) or with split supplies (±4.5V to ±20V) while retaining CMOS logic input compatibility and fast switching. CMOS inputs provide reduced input loading. The MAX303 is used in sample and hold circuits, test equipments, heads-up displays, guidance and control systems, military radios, battery operated systems, PBX and PABX systems.
