    ICM7556IPDZ Product overview

    The ICM7556IPDZ is a CMOS RC Timer provides significantly improved performance over the standard SE/NE555/6 and 355 timers, while at the same time being direct replacements for those devices in most applications. Improved parameters include low supply current, wide operating supply voltage range, low THRESHOLD, TRIGGER and RESET currents, no crowbarring of the supply current during output transitions, higher frequency performance and no requirement to decouple control voltage for stable operation. Specifically, the ICM7556 are stable controllers capable of producing accurate time delays or frequencies. The ICM7556 is a dual ICM7555, with the two timers operating independently of each other, sharing only V+ and GND. In the one shot mode, the pulse width of each circuit is precisely controlled by one external resistor and capacitor.

    TLC556CN Product overview

    The TLC556CN is a monolithic Timing Circuit fabricated using the TI LinCMOS™ process, which provides full compatibility with CMOS, TTL and MOS logic and operates at frequencies up to 2MHz. Accurate time delays and oscillations are possible with smaller, less-expensive timing capacitors than the NE556 because of the high input impedance. Power consumption is low across the full range of power supply voltages. Like the NE556, the TLC556 has a trigger level approximately one-third of the supply voltage and a threshold level approximately two-thirds of the supply voltage. These levels can be altered by use of the control voltage terminal. When the trigger input falls below the trigger level, the flip-flop is set and the output goes high. If the trigger input is above the trigger level and the threshold input is above the threshold level, the flip-flop is reset and the output is low. The reset input can override all other inputs and can be used to initiate a new timing cycle.
