The DS14C232CN is a dual low power Driver/Receiver features an onboard DC to DC converter, eliminating the need for ±12V power supplies. The device only requires a +5V power supply. ICC is specified at 3mA maximum, making the device ideal for battery and power conscious applications. The driver slew rate is set internally and the receivers feature internal noise filtering, eliminating the need for external slew rate and filter capacitors. The device is designed to interface data terminal equipment (DTE) with data circuit-terminating equipment (DCE). The driver inputs and receiver outputs are TTL and CMOS compatible. DS14C232C driver outputs and receiver inputs meet TIA/EIA-232-E (RS-232) and CCITT V.28 standard.
The SP202E, SP232E, SP233E, SP310E and SP312E devices are a family of line driver and receiver pairs that meets the specifications of RS-232 and V.28 serial protocols. The devices are pin-to-pin compatible with Exar"s SP232A, SP233A, SP310A and SP312A devices as well as popular industry standard pinouts. The ESD tolerance has been improved on these devices to over ±15kV for Human Body Model. This series offer a 120kbps data rate under load, small ceramic type 0.1μF charge pump capacitors and overall ruggedness for comercial applications. Features include Exar"s BiCMOS design which allowing low power operation without sacrificing performance. The series is available in lead free packages with commercial and industrial temperature ranges.
