General Description The AP1501 is a fully integrated step-down DC/DC converter, with the ability to drive 3A load without the need of additional driver components. The AP1501 operates at a switching frequency of 150KHZ enabling the use of small size filter components. As a result, board space is reduced and BOM costs are lowered. The LM2591HVS-5.0/NOPB is a step-down Voltage Regulator provides all the active functions for a step-down (buck) switching regulator, capable of driving a 1A load with excellent line and load regulation. This series of switching regulators is similar to the LM2590HV, but without some of the supervisory and control features of the latter. It requires a minimum number of external components, this regulator is simple to use and include internal frequency compensation, improved line and load specifications and a fixed-frequency oscillator. It operates at a switching frequency of 150kHz, thus allowing smaller sized filter components than what would be needed with lower frequency switching regulators. Other features include a specified ±4% tolerance on output voltage under all conditions of input voltage and output load conditions and ±15% on the oscillator frequency. External shutdown is included, featuring typically 90µA standby current.
