The 74HC244D features two output enables each controlling four of 3 state outputs. A HIGH on output enable causes outputs to assume high impedance OFF state. Inputs include clamp diodes that enable the use of current limiting resistors to interface with inputs to voltages in excess of VCC.

    The MM74HC244WM is a non-inverting Buffer has two active low enables (1G and 2G), each enable independently controls 4 buffers. This device does not have Schmitt trigger inputs. This 3-state buffer utilizes advanced silicon-gate CMOS technology and is general purpose high speed non-inverting buffer. It possesses high drive current outputs which enable high speed operation even when driving large bus capacitances. This circuit achieves speeds comparable to low power Schottky device, while retaining the advantage of CMOS circuitry, high noise immunity and low power consumption. The device has a fan-out of 15 LS-TTL equivalent inputs. All inputs are protected from damage due to static discharge by diodes to VCC and ground.
