The 25LC320A-I/MS is a 32kB serial Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM) accessed via a simple serial peripheral interface (SPI) compatible serial bus. The bus signals required are a clock input (SCK) plus separate data in (SI) and data out (SO) lines. Access to the device is controlled through a chip select (CS) input. Communication to the device can be paused via the hold pin (HOLD). While the device is paused, transitions on its inputs will be ignored, with the exception of chip select, allowing the host to service higher priority interrupts.
The 24AA32A-I/MS is a 32kB I²C serial Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM) organized as a single block of 4K x 8-bit memory with a 2-wire serial interface. Low-voltage design permits operation down to 1.7V, with standby and active currents of only 1mA and 1mA respectively. It has been developed for advanced, low-power applications such as personal communications or data acquisition. The 24XX32A also has a page write capability for up to 32 bytes of data. Functional address lines allow up to eight devices on the same bus, for up to 256kB address space.
