Fundamentals
A capacitor is a device that stores electrical energy in an electric field. It is a passive electronic component with two terminals. The effect of a capacitor is known as capacitance.
Types
There are a lot of different capacitor types, like electrolytic capacitor, supercapacitor, film capacitor etc., and they are manufactured in many forms, styles, lengths, girths, and from many materials, all with their own applications, characteristics and construction.
