Welcome to the Fuse!
There are a lot of different fuse types, all with their own applications, characteristics and construction. This page lists the different fuse types which are described on apogee.
In electronics and electrical engineering, a fuse is an electrical safety device that operates to provide overcurrent protection of an electrical circuit. Its essential component is a metal wire or strip that melts when too much current flows through it, thereby interrupting the current. Fuses have been used as essential safety devices from the early days of electrical engineering. Today there are thousands of different fuse designs which have specific current and voltage ratings, breaking capacity and response times, depending on the application.

Ⅰ The Role of the Fuse1. Under normal circumstances, the fuse acts as a connection circuit in the circuit.2. In the case of abnormal (overload), the fuse acts as a safety protection element in the circuit, and safely cuts off and protects the circuit by blowing itself. Figure 1.Ⅱ Work...

Ⅰ Fuse ResistorResistors and fuses are similar in material and construction, and fuse-type resistors have both functions. They can be used as resistors. Once the current is abnormal, they act as fuses to protect the equipment. The cost is reduced due to the dual function. The fuse resistor ...
